# Practical AI training and keynotes for pharma teams

AI is giving pharma teams some exciting new possibilities, from building their own tools to creating experiences for HCPs and putting agentic AI to work on whole projects. Through Camino's Lúmina workshops and my keynotes, I help people see what they could do, have a go themselves and leave with the confidence to take their ideas further. These sessions are practical, lively and built around the people in the room.

Across **24 hands-on workshops**, we've trained **384 pharma professionals** and achieved a **Net Promoter Score of 78**. Lúmina won **Gold in Internal Communications at the 2026 PMi Awards**, and we've delivered workshops for teams including GSK, Novo Nordisk, Menarini, Ferring and Sanofi across Europe and the US.

> One participant put it well: “Loved it, took me on a journey from ambivalent to excited, with plenty of realism.” That's what I want people to leave with: enthusiasm, ideas they want to pursue and some experience of making them happen.

## Drawing on what we're building, and what's coming next

I teach from the work we're doing at Camino and from conversations with AI engineers and providers, from small pharma-focused startups to OpenAI. That gives me plenty to share about what's possible now, what's coming next and where the interesting opportunities are for medical and marketing teams. It's a field I spend a lot of time exploring, and I enjoy bringing that excitement into a room of people with their own ideas about what they'd like to do.

At Camino, we've built Goldfish for congress intelligence and EVA, our award-winning AI assistant for rare disease specialists. We're also developing agentic AI workflows and experimenting with creative applications, including the photobooth that brings people into the illustrated world of Adventures in Pharma. Those projects give us real examples to demonstrate and stories to share about how an idea becomes something people can use, learn from and enjoy.

## Workshops that get people involved

Our workshops run from **half a day to two days**, face-to-face or virtually, and we shape them around your team's ambitions and experience. Some people want to see what the technology can do beyond the things they've already tried. Others arrive with an idea for an agentic workflow or a tool they want to build. We choose the demonstrations and group work around that, so people can explore something that matters to them and see how far they can take it.

There's a lot of fun in describing an idea and seeing a working version appear on screen, or finding something in a dataset that makes the whole group want to investigate further. We make room for that curiosity. Teams can experiment together, build on each other's ideas and ask the questions that only come up once they've tried it. Along the way, we cover the scientific judgement, privacy and review considerations that help them take a promising idea back into their organisation.

Depending on your team, we could explore:

- **Agentic AI:** opportunities for agents to research, analyse and carry work through several steps, and how your team could put those capabilities to use.
- **Building with AI:** turning an idea into a prototype, dashboard or interactive tool, including opportunities for people who haven't written code before.
- **Medical and marketing applications:** discovering insights in scientific information, developing better materials and exploring new ways to engage and educate HCPs.
- **Creative possibilities:** using image, video and audio generation to bring ideas to life and make communications and learning experiences more engaging.

We also help teams choose which ideas to pursue. The opportunity might be to do better work, reach an audience in a new way or make something possible that used to be beyond the team's resources. By the end, people have had a chance to test their ideas and think about what it would take to develop them further.

## Keynotes and team events

For conferences and larger team meetings, I bring live demonstrations and examples from our projects to show how quickly the possibilities are changing. We can explore agentic AI, new approaches to medical communications or what teams are already achieving with the technology. I want people to enjoy the session, see something that sparks an idea and leave wanting to try it for themselves.

The standard Lúmina lecture format is a **60–90-minute presentation with a 30-minute interactive Q&A**, and we can discuss the right fit for your event. I've spoken at industry events including ISMPP, MAPS and PING, and co-host Adventures in Pharma, so I'm used to bringing a mix of perspectives and questions into the conversation. We'll agree the focus around your audience and what you'd like the session to set in motion.

## Before the session, and afterwards

We start with a scoping call to understand your team's goals, therapeutic focus and experience with AI. For workshops, the Lúmina package includes impact measurement and a **one-hour follow-up debrief**, where we revisit the ideas and work together on a first prototype for a priority use case. That gives people a reason to pick the idea up again, with support from the team who helped them develop it.

I'm also a faculty member for [CELforPharma's AI for Medical Affairs course](https://www.celforpharma.com/course/ai-medical-affairs-course). For a session built around your own team, get in touch with us at Camino.
